Fortress Niška tvrđava - Rovče

Niš Fortress is one of the main attractions of the city of Niš, Serbia, located on Đuka Dinić Street. This place stirs the hearts of history and cultural event enthusiasts. The fortress was originally built during the Roman period, and acquired its modern appearance in the 15th century thanks to Ottoman conquerors who erected it on the ruins of ancient fortifications.

Niš Fortress has a regular geometric shape with four magnificent towers at the corners and powerful walls protecting the inner territory.
