Mr & Mrs Smith is a duodrama that draws inspiration from the poetics of the theater of the absurd, particularly from the work of Eugène Ionesco "The Bald Soprano." Through a combination of movement, dark humor, and carefully selected lines, we focus on partner violence, communication barriers, and everyday absurdities in romantic relationships. Although the play deals with the intimate dynamics between two people, it subtly highlights broader social issues — such as alienation, violence, habits, and misunderstandings that shape us.
Below all the absurd and comedic misunderstandings among these characters lies a simple truth: although they are unaware of it, they are always on the verge of rediscovering love. The roles are played by:
Direction, choreography, stage movement, and dramaturgy by Mina Ćirić and Luka Potparić.
