We are meeting with you again in the "Musical Lounge" of the Russian House in Belgrade for a lecture by pianist, lecturer of the Moscow Philharmonic, and candidate of art studies, Yulia Kazantseva.
🎤 At the lecture titled "Musical Petersburg", Yulia will talk about:
- How Glinka was friends with Pushkin,
- What was played in the musical salons of the 19th century,
- How Tchaikovsky created a musical portrait of Petersburg,
- How Rachmaninoff's acquaintance with Petersburg began and why he didn't like to remember it.
🎻 In the musical part of the program, Yulia Kazantseva and violist of the Bolshoi Theatre orchestra, Ekaterina Ivanenko, will perform pieces by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, and Shostakovich.
