Don Juan - the original French musical
This spectacle comes from the workshop of the producer of the famous musical "Notre Dame de Paris". Composer Felix Gray conceived the music and libretto for "Don Juan" in 2003, bringing an innovative vision of the classic story. Although it begins similarly to Molière's version, the text develops in its own way, creating a story beyond the boundaries of time.
The performance is full of stage fights and special effects, contributing to the magical tone of the narrative. The key ornament of the performance is Spanish choreography, with an emphasis on flamenco. Its popularity has been recorded in France and South Korea, while in Canada it achieved exceptional audience favor. A series of 200 performances in cities across the country attracted 350,000 spectators, and 300,000 albums sold confirm its success. The songs "Du plaisir" and "Les Femmes" remained at the top of the music charts for several weeks.
Notably, Jules Mayoux received recognition for best director, and producers Charles and Nicolas Talar are among the most significant independent music producers. The musical broke records both in album sales and tickets.
