Serbian traditions and customs, like the Serbian language, are so similar and yet so different from Russian... In the lecture, we will learn many details and interesting facts about local customs and traditions. Why do they burn oak branches in churchyards at Christmas? When does the Wild Hunt ride across the Balkans? Why were graves filled with water just over half a century ago? And finally, who should be tied to the kitchen table - the children or the parents? 😁 Prepare your questions, it will be interesting! Lecturer: Irina Vedernikova (Martha) - amateur ethnographer, has been engaged in ethnography of Central Russia for 15 years, collaborates with museums, organizes ethnographic direction at conventions, author of the TG-channel "From Martha ABOUT ETHNO". After moving, she became interested in Serbian ethnography, translates books on Balkan ethnography.
