The play is based on the play of the same name by Tennessee Williams, starring Gillian Anderson.

Not young anymore, but still charming, Blanche DuBois moves to a poor neighborhood of New Orleans to live with her sister Stella and her husband. Blanche is broke, she has nowhere to live and nothing to live on. Stella's crude and primitive husband took a dislike to Blanche at first sight and later he will be the main reason for her happiness being impossible.
