MikroFAF is an international short film festival held in Serbia since 2010. It focuses on 'DIY' and independent cinema, providing a platform for authors who create films under non-commercial conditions with limited technical and financial resources.

The festival includes several competitive categories:

  • 'DIY' short film: films of all genres created without the involvement of professional filmmakers and without commercial commitments.
  • Independent short film: professionally produced films that maintain an authorial touch and are free from commercial pressure.
  • Student film: works of film school students, created in collaboration with educational institutions.
  • Junior film: films created by teenagers aged 15 to 18, often within educational programs.

In 2024, the festival will be held from December 19 to 21 in the former 'Balkan' cinema in Belgrade. The program will include 52 films by young authors from 12 countries, which will be presented in four competition categories.

The festival is organized by the 'Satibara' association from Belgrade, which is engaged in promoting film education and supporting independent filmmaking.

Admission to all festival events is free, reflecting its commitment to making art accessible to a wide audience and supporting cultural diversity.
