Boy Harsher returns to Belgrade!

The electronic duo from the USA, Boy Harsher, brings their hypnotizing darkwave music to Belgrade this June. Comprised of vocalist and lyricist Jae Matthews and producer Augustus Muller, their sound blends the precision of minimal synth with the sensuality of darkwave, creating a sound reminiscent of a dance nightmare.

Founded in 2013 in Savannah, this duo began as filmmakers—Jae wrote scripts while Augustus composed music. Their distinctive, cinematic sound was shaped by this film approach. Lesser Man (2014), their first EP, became an underground hit, and albums like Yr Body is Nothing, Careful, and The Runner brought them global fame. Songs like “Pain” and “Fate” are staples in darkwave clubs.

Boy Harsher live offers a unique experience: from minimalist lighting design to Jae’s magnetic presence. Their performances explore themes of the body, desire, and despair, revealing truths in darkness. With the project The Runner, they once again proved their multimedia capability, combining film and music in a horror story of escape.
