February 20, Thursday, 18:30. "Hayao Miyazaki: Magic That Lasts a Lifetime" - lecture with Galya Smorodina
If you have attended Galya's hugging parties, then you probably know that she raises children in a Montessori garden. Not surprisingly, her professional experience allows her to create a lighthearted childish atmosphere even at cuddle events. 🙃
But few know that Galya also
loves Japanese animation enough to share her enthusiasm with others. Next Thursday, Galya will host a meeting about Hayao Miyazaki in our space. If you have been enchanted by Hayao's worlds since childhood, if "My Neighbor Totoro" became your friend, and "Spirited Away" made you ponder important things, then this lecture is for you. Galya will provide more details herself 👇
"My name is Galya and since first grade I have been in love with Miyazaki's work. I'm 30 now, but his cartoons still inspire me, make me dream and find new meanings. I want to share with you my love for this amazing master, his philosophy, and how his work has influenced my life.
In the lecture, I will discuss the following:
- How Miyazaki creates his worlds, where every detail is a story, and every character is a reflection of the human soul.
- The key themes of his films: from ecology and harmony with nature to complex questions of growing up and finding oneself.
- Why his animation remains relevant for viewers of all ages, and how it helps us better understand ourselves and the world around us.
This will not just be a lecture, but a meeting of like-minded individuals, where we can exchange impressions, recall favorite scenes, and perhaps discover something new in already familiar stories.
Come to immerse yourself in the magical world of Hayao Miyazaki, which, as in childhood, continues to teach us to believe in miracles and to find beauty in every moment of life.
