The play titled "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead" is based on the novel by Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk, who is a Nobel Prize laureate in literature. At first glance, this performance appears to be a mystical detective story about mysterious murders occurring in a small village in Poland, representing a kind of forest noir. However, upon closer inspection, one can discover a rich artistic bouquet within it, which includes penetrating poetry, sharp satire, and subtle psychological observations. At the center of the story is an eccentric heroine, Janina Duszejko, who single-handedly stands up against the injustice and cruelty of the surrounding world. This is an extraordinary heroine, as if specially created for actress Liya Akhedzhakova. With her inherent courage and wit, Liya Medzhidovna embodies on stage the image of this retired teacher, who begins to investigate a series of mysterious murders while helping her friends, who are as unusual as she is. Joining her on stage is actress and singer Musya Totibadze, playing the role of the main character's "alter ego" and performing songs with lyrics by William Blake. According to the plot, the main character is a fan of this poet's work, and the title of the novel and the play is taken from one of his lines. The cast also includes actor Alexander Feklistov. The audience is in for an exciting journey that includes mysterious forest creatures, live music, and many recognizable human characters. "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead" touches on key topics such as man's responsibility to the world and the fragility of life. The cast includes Liya Akhedzhakova, Alexander Feklistov, Musya Totibadze, Maria Krol, and Gleb Romashevsky. The play is directed by Boris Pavlovich.
