On October 31, 2025, an extraordinary evening of music will take place at Theater 78 in Belgrade. Harp virtuoso Alexander Boldachev will present his new album 'Credo', released by the internationally recognized label PENTATONE. With 'Credo', Boldachev offers innovative transcriptions for harp that connect the spiritual sound worlds of Johann Sebastian Bach and Arvo Pärt. Despite 250 years separating them, both composers possess a deep dedication to clarity, silence, and transcendence—qualities that, through Boldachev's mastery, find new voice on the harp. The program combines Bach's measured maximalism with Pärt's contemplative minimalism, creating a vivid dialogue across centuries. The concert in Belgrade will be a magical candlelit event, immersing the audience in sound and light. This unique atmosphere reflects the essence of 'Credo' itself, recorded earlier this year in a chapel on a mountain at Aiglon College, Switzerland. For Boldachev, Belgrade is almost a second home. Over the past decade, he has performed in the city more than ten times, holding solo concerts, orchestral performances, and presenting projects such as his acclaimed album 'War and Peace'. He has also been invited as a guest professor at the Faculty of Music at the University of Arts in Belgrade, where he shared his experience and inspired a new generation of Serbian harpists. Now, with 'Credo', Alexander Boldachev returns to Belgrade with one of his most personal and spiritual projects. His concert will be a celebration not only of two great composers but also of the boundless expressiveness of the harp—from whispering intimacy to radiant brilliance.
