Another additional session will be held on November 7 at CK VLADA DIVLJAN. Masha Mashkova will present her resonant monodrama 'Nadezhdiny'. This performance is based on the Diary of Melania Sevruk, which serves as a unique historical source conveying the atmosphere of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. The play presents a deep confession about love and marriage, about a person who was consciously forgotten in the Soviet years and who was later lost under a thick layer of archival dust - This is about Evgeny Zelensky. Their story reached us thanks to the records of Mila, the main character of the play. More than a century later, his great-great-granddaughter Maria discovered the diary and instantly became part of this story, a story that has been running since then. This story began in Chisinau, where Mila was born and studied. Mila wrote in the diary everything that happened to her. Was it simply her way of passing the time, or was it her conscious desire to send her experiences into the future in the form of a historical document? In this manuscript, we see a rare combination of an extremely lyrical story and a unique historical source.
