Ballet Igor Moiseyev

The Igor Moiseyev National Ensemble, known as a symbol of merging classical ballet and folklore, is staging a unique performance called "Dances of the World" in Belgrade. This renowned collective, founded in 1937 by the legendary choreographer Igor Moiseyev, is the first professional folk dance ensemble in the world.

Moiseyev, often called an innovator in choreography, not only created a new genre but also a cultural phenomenon that continues to evolve. The ensemble is recognized for its original program repertoire, which includes dances, choreographic scenes, and ballet one-acts set to music by famous Russian composers such as Glinka, Rimsky-Korsakov, Borodin, and Mussorgsky.

Igor Moiseyev Ballet has toured all continents, including Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, becoming true cultural ambassadors. Their performances bring vibrant artistic energy and distinct poeticism, making each concert an unforgettable experience.
