Thy Catafalque, the progressive metal project under the artistic direction of Tamás Kátai, will hold a concert in Belgrade. This project, which began its journey as black metal in the late 1990s, has evolved into a distinctive voice on the experimental music scene. Inspired by the cultural roots of its founder, it skillfully blends Hungarian folk melodies and language with progressive arrangements and rich synthesizer sound.
Thy Catafalque has released several albums that have impressed critics, including Rengeteg, Meta, Naiv, and Vadak. These works are distinguished by their originality, musical scope, and emotional expressiveness. The project was started as a solo studio initiative by Tamás Kátai, so concert performances are rare but special, as they bring together an ensemble of guest musicians who bring the complex compositions to life live.
